Miley Cyrus has made no covert of the fact that she fully backs same-sex marriage and equal rights for all, which is one of the reasons why we like the a little crazy star.
In a recent interview Miley has penned a rather prolix essay on why she decided to tattoo an equality sign on her finger, and how she received antagonism from some of her former-fans who questioned her dedication to her christian faith.
The singer claims that hardly thinking about people not being allowed to marry the person they love makes her have a physcially sick. Miley even went on to ruin the CEO of Urban Outfitters, Richard Hayne, for donating funds to the push of anti-gay rights politican Rick Santorum. Miley writes,
"I was shocked and downcast that a company with such diversity would exclude such a large group of people...I can no longer pen up myself to shop there...I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties. Without legalized same-sex affiliation, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual yoke. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color?
